Opdenergy is a well positioned player in the energy sector that prioritizes being an Independent Power Producer (IPP), with more than 15 years of experience and international presence, operating in 9 countries and more than 200 employees.

We are seeking an Energy Storage Manager whose responsibilities include overseeing the efficient operation of energy storage systems. This role entails optimizing system performance, planning deployments, analyzing financial viability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders. The role is crucial for advancing the adoption of energy storage technologies and enhancing sustainability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness in energy management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the company’s energy storage strategy in the countries we are operating (Spain, Italy, UK, France, Poland, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, USA)
  • Provide support to the Development Team for project origination and the Operations Department for the analysis of utility-scale storage projects.
  • Perform storage system configuration, design conceptual specifications, and evaluate technological options for storage.
  • Coordinate with other teams on interconnection matters, evaluation of new markets, engineering, legal, procurement, construction staff, as necessary to ensure effective execution of assigned storage projects.
  • Manage budgets, goals, schedules, and project deliverables for assigned development projects.
  • Deal with ICP/DNO on strategic network routes and complex connections.
  • Manage the development of tender packages, technical specifications during EPC and Equipment Supply procurement, RFP, and award process.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Issue, manage, and track the Storage Procurement Process in relation to projects and lead interactions with other internal departments such as construction, operation and maintenance, or M&A and Development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required. A Master's degree in Renewable Energies is advantageous.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (C1). Proficiency in Italian is desirable.
